Budget from the level and the hours you actually run it, not from the bottle. A 20 ml / 0.68 fl oz bottle lasts about 70 h at level 1, 20 h at level 2 and 7 h at level 3. On an everyday 3-4 h cycle, one bottle covers roughly three weeks at level 1 or about a week at level 3, so most homes use 1-2 bottles a month per regularly scented room. The specification sheet carries a ±1x tolerance because viscosity varies by oil. To rotate scents, use the smaller 5 ml / 0.17 fl oz and 10 ml / 0.34 fl oz bottles instead of leaving one bottle half-used.

They are 3 cosmetic top profiles on one common thread, all at the same +$0.32. The venturi sits inside the head itself, but it is the same venturi in all three, so mist output, particle size and oil draw are identical. The high heads stand about 1 cm / 0.4 in taller than the flat nozzle, which keeps atomised oil from condensing where it is visible. Buy a spare head to re-style existing stock instead of opening a second SKU.

Scent fills a room in three dimensions, so coverage is rated as a volume: 187.5 m³ / 6 621 ft³, not a floor area. The floor area it covers is that volume divided by the ceiling height, so the same unit scents a larger footprint in a low room and a smaller one in a tall room. At a 2.4 m / 8 ft ceiling it is about 78 m² / 841 ft², at 2.7 m / 9 ft about 69 m² / 747 ft², and at 3.75 m / 12.3 ft about 50 m² / 538 ft². Treat open-plan rooms, stairwells and mezzanines as one connected volume.

An empty 20 ml / 0.68 fl oz glass bottle ships fitted to the nozzle. Below that it takes the standard 5 ml / 0.17 fl oz, 10 ml / 0.34 fl oz and 15 ml / 0.51 fl oz bottles. They all share the common 18 mm screw thread (18 mm neck diameter): unscrew the retail cap and screw the bottle straight onto the nozzle, no adapter needed, or decant into the fitted bottle. Thick carrier oils, resins and anything with wax will clog the venturi - stick to neat essential oil and oily synthetics.

An ultrasonic unit dilutes oil into water, so the scent throw per millilitre of oil is far lower and the tank needs cleaning. This platform sprays neat oil at 0.2-0.74 ml/h and puts no water into the room, which is why it can sit next to laptops and mirrors. The trade is oil cost: you spend less on labour and refills of water, more on oil per hour at level 3.

Past 45 degrees the tilt sensor cuts the pump, and misting resumes within about 1 second once the unit is back upright. Stand it up promptly: if it is left upside down, oil can run back into the air pump and corrode it, so righting it within 3-5 minutes prevents backflow. The bottle threads onto the nozzle rather than sitting loose, so an ordinary knock does not empty oil onto the carpet. Damage caused by prolonged inversion or spilled oil is user damage and is not covered by the 1-year warranty.

A display build exists on this platform at +$0. It replaces the always-on timer slot with a 6H position and shows battery state on the panel. It is not a picker option on this page - put "display" on your RFQ and we build that version.

It is the room’s cubic volume - length × width × ceiling height - not its floor area. Divide 187.5 m³ by your ceiling height for the footprint, as set out in the coverage question above. If your space is larger than that, do not run a portable unit on level 3 around the clock; step up to a mains-powered commercial unit that can be ducted into the HVAC system.
