Aroma Diffuser Certifications: CE, FCC, RoHS & Compliance Documents
CE-EMC, RoHS and FCC on every aroma diffuser, plus the documents your market and freight forwarder ask for
Standard certificates are issued after a paid product or sample order and we support your Declaration of Conformity. Approvals for other countries can be arranged through our accredited partner laboratories at cost. See our full services or start with a sample order.
What certifications do your aroma diffusers have?
Every aroma diffuser we supply is covered by the standard export package: CE-EMC, RoHS and FCC. Certificates are sent after a paid product or sample order, and we support a manufacturer Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for your market.
- LVD: 5V USB units shipped without an adapter fall outside the LVD scope; 12V and 24V models include the power supply LVD. A whole-unit LVD is quoted separately.
- Wireless models: current Bluetooth and WiFi units are not CE-RED certified, but we can supply a finished CE-RED radio module and an EU DoC.
- Transport: battery and oil-carrying waterless diffusers need a whole-unit sea or air transport report; only some models (such as the UD series) already hold one.
- Other countries: we arrange submission to an accredited laboratory or complete the testing and report for you, charged at cost.
Standard diffuser certifications
These three are standard across all aroma diffusers and are provided with your paid order. They cover electromagnetic compatibility, restricted substances and the US market requirement.
CE-EMC
Electromagnetic compatibility under the EU EMC directive, covering emissions and immunity for the appliance.
RoHS
Restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, including the 2015/863 additions.
FCC
Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity for unintentional radiators, the standard requirement for the United States.
Does a 5V USB diffuser need CE-LVD?
Usually not. Our aroma diffusers run at 5V over USB and are supplied without an adapter, so they fall outside the scope of the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). For 12V and 24V machines, we provide the LVD certificate for the power supply, which keeps you compliant while avoiding extra cost.
If you require a whole-unit LVD certificate, it is not part of the standard package and is charged separately — ask our sales team for the fee and lead time.
Bluetooth and WiFi models: CE-RED
The Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU) applies to diffusers with Bluetooth or WiFi. At present, none of the wireless diffusers in our current range holds a CE-RED certificate. Rather than leave you to handle this alone, we offer two routes:
- We supply a finished, CE-RED-certified radio module together with an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC), so the wireless part is already approved.
- You commission CE-RED in your own name, or appoint a test company yourself, and we provide the certified module and technical support to cut the cost and time.
Wireless options appear on models such as the Bluetooth and WiFi HVAC diffuser A2000 and the Bluetooth M6000. Browse the full waterless diffuser range.
Certifications for other countries
We can support submission to a test laboratory for your target market, or accept a direct commission to complete the testing and report for you. Fees are charged at cost and confirmed before work starts.

Typical requirements for reference only; the exact certificate and scope are confirmed with your customs broker and order.
Certifying a new custom model
When a newly designed diffuser needs its own certification, the standard tests start from about USD 230 per certification. The exact testing fee is confirmed by our sales team before submission.
Per certification, for a custom new-model diffuser. Final fee confirmed by sales.
Third-party test laboratories are A2LA or CNAS accredited. See OEM / ODM details.
Sea and air transport safety reports
Waterless essential oil diffusers that contain a battery or carry oil must provide a transport safety report to the freight forwarder. Only some models hold one, such as the UD series — see the UHF portable diffuser UD11.
Battery documents do not replace a whole-unit report. All batteries have MSDS and UN38.3, but freight forwarders generally ask for a whole-unit sea or air transport safety report and usually do not accept the battery MSDS or UN38.3 on their own. The battery files help the laboratory issue the whole-unit report faster and at lower cost, but they cannot substitute for it.
If your model has no whole-unit transport report, we can arrange one:
- RMB 800 per model per year (about USD 121 at an exchange rate of 6.6)
- Lead time of about 3–7 working days
- Alternatively, we can quote DDP delivered-to-door and handle the transport compliance as part of the shipment
Essential oil documents
For essential oils, the following documents are available on request and are sent with an order that meets the minimum order quantity:
- MSDS — material safety data sheet
- COA — certificate of analysis with batch-specific test results
- IFRA — compliance with IFRA standards
- GC-MS — gas chromatography mass spectrometry report
- USDA — organic documentation where applicable
- HALAL — halal certificate where applicable
To keep perfumer time available for production orders, documents are not supplied without an order. See our wholesale essential oils for range and MOQ.
Product markings and EU authorized representative
All products and packaging currently in the range are clearly printed with:
- the CE mark
- the WEEE crossed-out wheeled bin symbol
- Made in China
If you need an EU authorized representative’s company information applied or printed (the EAR), contact our sales team to arrange a small-batch OEM run.

Certification questions
- When do I receive the CE, FCC and RoHS certificates?
- After a paid product or sample order. We send the standard certificates with the order and support your Declaration of Conformity for the destination market.
- Does a 5V USB diffuser need an LVD certificate?
- No. 5V USB units supplied without an adapter are outside the LVD scope. This avoids an unnecessary certificate and its cost.
- How are 12V and 24V diffusers handled for LVD?
- We provide the LVD certificate for the power supply, which covers the part in scope. A whole-unit LVD certificate is available but charged separately.
- Do your Bluetooth and WiFi diffusers have CE-RED?
- No current wireless model in the range holds CE-RED. We supply a finished CE-RED-certified radio module and an EU DoC, or support certification in your own name.
- How much does certification for a new custom model cost?
- Standard tests start from about USD 230 per certification. The exact fee is confirmed by our sales team based on the model and target market.
- What is the difference between battery MSDS/UN38.3 and a whole-unit transport report?
- MSDS and UN38.3 cover the battery. Freight forwarders require a whole-unit sea or air transport safety report and generally do not accept the battery documents on their own.
- Which models already have a sea or air transport report?
- Only some models, such as the UD series. Confirm the specific model with our sales team before ordering.
- How long does a transport report take and what does it cost?
- About 3–7 working days, at RMB 800 per model per year (about USD 121 at 6.6). Alternatively, ask for a DDP delivered-to-door quote.
- Do you accept UKCA for the United Kingdom?
- Yes. The UK accepts UKCA marking, and EU CE certificates are also accepted for the relevant products.
- Why are oil documents not sent before an order?
- MSDS, COA, IFRA, GC-MS, USDA and HALAL documents are prepared by the perfumery and laboratory team. To protect production time they accompany an order meeting the MOQ rather than being sent in advance.
- Can you print an EU authorized representative’s details?
- Yes. Contact sales to arrange a small-batch OEM run with the EAR company information applied or printed on the product or packaging.
