This side button waterless diffuser 2423 runs anodised alloy shell with a single side key. Cold nano-atomization breaks pure oil into 1-3 micron dry mist, so there is no water, no heat, no wet residue and no smoke. One 20 ml / 0.68 fl oz glass bottle covers 187.5 m³ / 6 621 ft³ at 0.2-0.74 ml/h across three levels. Runs at ≤36 dB, 3 W, DC 5V 1A Type-C. Scent is dosed by volume, so the fixed figure is 187.5 m³. Floor area is that volume divided by your ceiling height - double the height and the area halves. Open-plan rooms, atriums and stairwells count as one connected volume. - Do not invert or tilt a filled unit - oil will drain into the pump and cause permanent damage.
- Operate between 10 °C and 50 °C / 50 °F and 122 °F.
- Switch the unit off before changing oil.
- For long storage, remove the nozzle and store it separately from the body.
- Do not modify or disassemble - this voids warranty.
Bottle change and level setup in 5 steps
Source: WD Aroma 24xx user manual. Total time about 2 minutes, no tools.
- Switch the unit off. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until every light is out. Never change oil while the pump is running.
- Release the bottle from the base. Push the bottle up from the bottom of the body to release the nozzle assembly, then unscrew the bottle from the nozzle.
- Fill and refit. Fill with neat essential oil, screw the bottle back onto the nozzle, then align the mark on the bottle holder with the mark on the body.
- Select the atomization level. Short-press the power key to cycle 10 s / 170 s, 30 s / 150 s and 90 s / 110 s. The chosen level is stored in memory.
- Set the timer. Press the timer key to cycle 1H, 2H, 3H and always-on. Display units offer 1H, 2H, 3H and 6H instead.

Buyer questions
How much oil should I budget per room per month?
Work from the level, not the bottle. At level 1 a 20 ml / 0.68 fl oz bottle runs about 70 h, so an 8 h housekeeping cycle gives roughly 9 days per room. At level 3 the same bottle drops to about 7 h, or under one day. A 30-room property running 8 h daily at level 1 therefore burns roughly 100 bottles a month; the same property at level 3 burns closer to 900. Quote your oil budget off the level you will actually run.
What is the real difference between the high heads A / B / C?
They are 3 cosmetic top profiles on one common thread, all at the same +$0.32. Mist output, particle size and oil draw are identical because the pump and venturi sit inside the body, not in the head. Buy a spare head to re-style existing stock instead of opening a second SKU.
Older listings for this model say 600 sq ft, 100 m³ or 48 hours. Which figure is right?
The specification sheet is the source of record and it says 187.5 m³ / 6 621 ft³ coverage, 0.2-0.74 ml/h oil draw and 70 h / 20 h / 7 h of bottle life on levels 1 / 2 / 3. The 48-hour figure on legacy listings was standby time, not spray time, and the 100 m³ figure predates the current nozzle. Quote the sheet figures to your customers.
Which oil bottles fit, and can I use my own retail bottles?
The nozzle takes standard 5 ml / 0.17 fl oz, 10 ml / 0.34 fl oz and 20 ml / 0.68 fl oz bottles. Unscrew the cap from a retail bottle and thread the bottle straight onto the nozzle, or decant into the empty glass bottle that ships fitted. Thick carrier oils, resins and anything with wax will clog the venturi - stick to neat essential oil and oily synthetics.
How does the running cost compare with an ultrasonic diffuser?
An ultrasonic unit dilutes oil into water, so the scent throw per millilitre of oil is far lower and the tank needs cleaning. This platform sprays neat oil at 0.2-0.74 ml/h and puts no water into the room, which is why it can sit next to laptops and mirrors. The trade is oil cost: you spend less on labour and refills of water, more on oil per hour at level 3.
What happens if a guest knocks it over?
Past 45 degrees the tilt sensor cuts the pump. Stand it upright and it resumes after about 5 s. The bottle threads onto the nozzle rather than sitting loose, so a knock does not empty oil into the carpet. That is the reason this platform is cleared for car cup holders and bathroom shelves.
Can I get this model with a digital display?
A display build exists on this platform at +$0. It replaces the always-on timer slot with a 6H position and shows battery state on the panel. It is not a picker option on this page - put "display" on your RFQ and we build that version.
Is the sample unit free, or just the engraving?
The engraving is free. The sample unit is not. You pay the 1 pc tier price for the diffuser itself ($12.00 on this model), and we laser-engrave your logo on it at no extra cost - there is no setup fee, no plate fee and no minimum for the engraving. That is the whole of what "free" covers here. Quoted separately: volume logo work across the production order, printed sleeves, custom retail boxes and any artwork redraw. Send vector files with Pantone references. Tooling or design fees, if any, are on request - we do not carry a standing number for them.
How is 187.5 m³ measured, and what do I buy if it is not enough?
It is cubic volume, not floor area: divide by ceiling height. At 3.75 m that is about 50 m² / 538 ft²; at 3.1 m about 60 m² / 646 ft².
