Floral hydrosols
Rose, Neroli, Jasmine, Lavender, Chamomile
Gentle aromatic waters for toners, mists and spa lines
21 floral waters & botanical extracts · bulk from 1 kg / 2.20 lb
Hydrosols are the aromatic waters produced when plant material is steam distilled; they carry a gentle, water-soluble version of the plant's character without the concentration of an essential oil. Alongside them this collection includes water-based botanical extracts used in toners, masks and serums. WD Aroma supplies 21 hydrosols and plant extracts wholesale direct from our China partner producers, from 1 kg / 2.20 lb to bulk drums, with COA and SDS supporting natural cosmetics and spa-product lines.
Selection guide
The 21 products split into true distilled hydrosols (floral and herbal waters) and water-based plant extracts. They are not interchangeable: a hydrosol is a distillation product, an extract is the soluble portion of the plant drawn into a water base.

Buyer questions
The MOQ is 1 kg / 2.20 lb per oil, and the second wholesale tier starts at 5 kg / 11.02 lb. 10 mL to 5 L evaluation and retail bottles are also available; fills under 1 kg carry a flat US$0.30 per-bottle filling charge. These are natural raw materials, so evaluation samples are chargeable rather than free — ask for the current sample cost and freight in the RFQ.
A hydrosol is the aromatic water left after steam-distilling plant material for essential oil. It contains the water-soluble aromatic components and a small amount of dispersed oil, which is why it smells of the plant but is far milder than the essential oil. It is not essential oil mixed into water.
A hydrosol is a distillation product — the water comes out of the still with the plant. A water-based extract is made separately by steeping or processing the plant to draw its soluble components into water. Both are aqueous, but they are produced differently and are listed separately in this collection.
Hydrosols are mild and are commonly used as toners or mists without further dilution, but suitability depends on the product and the skin. Formulators should confirm preservative status, microbiological results and shelf life for a finished cosmetic rather than treating a bulk hydrosol as a finished retail product.
Preservative status depends on the product and how it is packed. Aqueous ingredients can support microbial growth, so ask for the current specification and storage guidance on the COA before building a cosmetic. We do not claim one preservative answer for the whole range.
Cool, dark and sealed, like other aqueous botanical ingredients. Use them within the shelf life given on the COA and keep drums or bottles closed after opening. Exact periods come from the batch documentation rather than a single page-wide number.
COA and SDS are provided per product against a confirmed bulk order, with specification or microbiological data arranged where your cosmetic dossier needs it. GC-MS and IFRA are documents for volatile oils and fragrance compounds rather than aqueous waters.
Yes. Stock hydrosols can be packed under your brand, and a named plant can be extracted to your specification. Custom extraction and private-label work carry their own fees and lead times, so send the plant, pack size and branding and we will quote current terms rather than estimating.
Documents are released against a confirmed bulk order. COA and SDS status is provided per product; additional specification or microbiological data for cosmetic dossiers is arranged with the order. Hydrosols are aqueous, so GC-MS and IFRA are not the standard documents here.
